Disaster Proclamation Includes Two NW Iowa Counties

(Des Moines)– Cherokee and Sioux counties are among 14 counties included in a disaster proclamation because of severe weather.
Governor Chet Culver’s proclamation will allow the counties to use state resources to deal with the aftermath of the storms.
Grants are eligible to residents of the counties. More information is available at www.dhs.state.ia.us.
